Ridgefield Town Hall is located at 400 Main Street, on the corner of Main Street and Bailey Avenue. It is open on Monday- Friday from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Above the front entrance way is a golden eagle. It was recently refinished and is the first thing you notice when you walk past town hall. There is also a large bell outside of town hall.

The town hall serves as the offices of the Selectman, Treasurer, Town Clerk, Tax Collector, Assessor, Probate Court, and Registrars of Voters. It holds all the tax records and registrations for people and animals that live in the town. All records of deaths and marriages are available in town hall.

As the seat of Ridgefield's Government, town meetings are held there twice annually, the first Monday in December, which is an informational meeting and also the first Monday in May which deals with the town and school budgets and annual tax rates. Ridgefield Archives Committee puts on historical exhibits each year in the Town Hall lobby.
