Class photos are for sale. They are 5x7 photos of the Class of 2019 on the BMES playground.  The photos are $5 each (please make check out to BMES PTA), and all proceeds go to the 5th Grade Activities Fund.

Please send a baby picture for the yearbook to: yb.bmes@gmail.com Or you can send in a hard copy to the office. Hard copy photos will be returned. Thank you Kim and Felicia for organizing!

Activities

Please don't forget to contribute to the 5th grade activities fund.  We have one event down (DARE), and much more to come!  Make checks out to cash, for $30, and return them to the Main Office in an envelope marked 5th Grade Activities.  Your contribution will fund the year-end picnic, the compilation CD and 5th-grade Promotion Ceremony.  If you are unsure whether or not you have contributed, please contact Elizabeth Isaacson at paperie@yahoo.com.

The SRMS PTA needs you!

We have a number of Executive Board positions available as well as committee chairpeople positions.

Are you looking for something that you can do on your own time? Consider helping out with the Student Directory.

Do you like to ski? Get involved with the PTA sponsored ski trip.

Do you want to organize an event? The 8th grade reception, or New Student Welcome Tea could use your help.

Do you want to help us raise resources to fund important school programs and teacher minigrants? We need your help with fundraising!

PTA Committee Chairs Needed...

 

Chairing a committee is a wonderful way to become involved in the middle school.   

Call a friend to chair with you. 

These programs enrich the middle school lives of our children. 

Join the fun!

 

  • 6th Grade Student Socials - Oversee grade level Social events. They have two socials, a Fall and Spring.
  • 8th Grade End of Year Party - Evening Dance or party held a ERMS in June
  • 6th Grade Orientation - Assist ERMS administration with the 6th grade orientation that is scheduled for the week before school begins in August.
  • Staff Luncheons - Holiday Luncheon (December)
  • Student Directory - Update current files and add new families
  • 8th Grade Reception-Organize refreshments for the reception in June. Chairperson(s) will coordinate volunteers.  
  • Concert Flowers - Arrange bouquets for concerts
  • Student Photos - Coordinates volunteers to help on the photo shoot day
  • 6th Grade Ski Trip - Chairpersons plan and coordinate a one-day ski trip.
  • Spirit Wear - Orders placed online. Liaison between school & company
  • Volunteer Coordinator - Compiles and distributes a list of volunteers for the PTA committee Chairs.
  • Website Manager - Updating ERMS PTA website information when needed and posting information on upcoming events, membership forms.
