Welcome to the Ridgefield Pre-K Program Website!
The Ridgefield Pre-K program provides opportunities for both young children with identified special need and typically developing peer models to learn together in a safe and nuturing enviornment. The Pre-K program is a two-year program for children ages 3 to 4 1/2. Children who will reach their 5th birthday on, or before December 31st of the entering school year are Kindergarten eligible, are expected to enroll in Kindergarten.
In addition to our classroom program, the Pre-K program offers Child Find screenings. If parents are concerned about their child's skill development, they can call the Pre-K office for information. This service is only available to residents of Ridgefield who have children who are between 3-4 years-old.
Information is posted on this site to give parents of pre-school students updates about the program throughout the school year. The Pre-K office is now located in Room 110 at Barlow Mountain Elementary School. Our phone number is (203) 894-7700 Ext 1530. There is someone available to take your call Monday through Friday.
