Communications
The Ridgebury PTA and the Ridgefield School District use three electronic communication tools to keep parents abreast of events and weather-related closing/delayed openings/early dismissals: Constant Contact, ConnectEd and Superintendent's eAlerts.
For the latest District information, please visit the RPS Home Page.
Constant Contact
The RES PTA uses an email program called Constant Contact (CC) to communicate with parents about PTA events and happenings. Regular CC emails are sent out on a weekly basis. To add your name to the distribution list, please send an email to ridgeburypta@yahoo.com with Subscribe to Constant Contact in the subject line and include your name and your child's name/grade/teacher.
There is always an option with every CC email to remove your email address from our distribution list. To ensure the PTA CC messages are not caught in your email spam folder, we encourage you to add ridgeburypta@yahoo.com to your address book.
ConnectEd
ConnectEd is a web-based phone system that allows the school administration and individual school principals to communicate EMERGENCY information to the appropriate school populations.
PLEASE NOTE: In regards to a change in school hours due to weather, ConnectEd WILL be used to notify about weather-related early dismissals but WILL NOT be used for weather-related closings or delayed openings. Please sign up for the Superintendent's eAlerts to receive school-wide information and notifications for weather-related closings and delayed openings.
The first two emergency contacts that are on file with the RES main office are the people who will be contacted. Each emergency contact is allowed three phone numbers (i.e. home, work, cell). Please be sure these phone numbers are up to date. Changes can be made at any time by contacting the RES main office.
Superintendent's eAlerts
To receive emails notifying you regarding all weather-related school closings, early dismissals and delayed openings as well as other non-emergency school district information, please sign up for the Superintendent's eAlerts by clicking here (on the eAlert drop down menu, select Superintendent's Message).
