The CCSS were "designed to consist of fewer, clearer and higher-level standards; to be aligned with college and work expectations; to include rigorous content and application of knowledge through higher order thinking skills; to be internationally benchmarked so that all students will be prepared to succeed in our global economy; and to be based on evidence and research".&nb

Resident Use of Campus Facilities
Any Ridgefield resident who wants to use the Tiger Hollow track or Ridgefield High School tennis courts during school hours, please contact the security person outside the RHS main office for a one time sign-in. The security person will ask you for proof of Ridgefield residency (driver’s license, etc.) and will take your name and address. Then he will give you a pass (a pass will be available for your car as well; please display it on the dashboard). This is a onetime procedure – there is no need to check in at main office during subsequent visits; you may go directly to the track or tennis courts. The times of physical education instruction (if any) will be posted at the tennis courts.
Attendance Procedure
The Attendance Office does not require written documentation to excuse an absence. In order to excuse an absence, parents/guardians need to call the Attendance Office at 438-3785 (then press 2) within 48 hours of the absence. For dismissal during the day, parents/guardians are required to call the Attendance Office by 10:00 A.M. on the day of the dismissal. Notes may be required for students with excessive absences.
As always, we appreciate your support and your assistance emphasizing the importance of regular and punctual school attendance.
