Department Philosophy. The Special Services Department at Ridgefield High School is committed to meeting the individual needs of all students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment. | |
| Special education teachers/case monitors, paraprofessionals, course teachers, tutors, school counselors, a social worker, two psychologists, deans, a speech and language therapist, behavior specialists, nurses, a transition coordinator, and administrators all perform a wide range of individual and group services. | ||

It is the goal of the Special Services staff to provide support and accommodations for those students with significant disabilities that impact their education to achieve their highest potential. The staff works to empower all our students to become successful, confident, lifelong learners. | |
