Student Publications

The following are publications produced by students at Ridgefield High School:

The Tiger's Roar - seeks to represent the students of Ridgefield High School by thoroughly and objectively addressing important RHS issues and events as well as by recognizing those individuals and groups that contribute to the RHS community. The Tiger's Roar is a student-run news magazine which covers school and local events. Students gain experience in writing and editing, business and advertising, production, distribution and layout.  Advisor: Mr. James Reed

Lodestar - This award-winning literary magazine serves as an outlet for students with talent in art, literature, photography, computer design, and writing. It strives to develop members' skills in all of these areas. At weekly meetings, members help the editorial staff to critique submissions to the magazine and they are encouraged to submit their own pieces to the magazine for review. However, students are not required to submit works as a condition of membership. Lodestar awards membership to a student after a minimum attendance of six meetings.  Advisor: Ms. Patricia Freeman

Yearbook - Students interested in working on the RHS Yearbook, The Caudatowan, must have an interview with the yearbook advisor. Some positions require the submission of a portfolio. Criteria for continuing membership are ability, willingness, the acceptance of responsibility, the ability to accept and act on criticism, and consistent attendance at meetings.  Advisor: Ms. Heather Dunn
