A Note from the PTA President
Research shows that when parents are involved, students perform better in school. They have increased motivation, better self-esteem, fewer absences, higher test scores. Those benefits and others like it are a major focus of our PTA.
You are the PTA. You are the hands, the minds, and the hearts that want what’s best for your children and their peers. We are a partnership, between the parents and teachers, focused on improving the learning experience provided for each child through enrichment, enhancement and advocacy.
If you have not yet joined, we encourage you to do so. You can download a copy of the membership form from our website and send it back into the school. If you have joined, we’re so glad you did!
Throughout the year there are many ways you can get involved and help out. The VP PTA is an organization run and staffed by volunteers, and committees are always looking for extra hands and new ideas. Time commitments vary - once a quarter, once a month, once a week or once in a while – we welcome and value any time you are willing and able to give.
I am always available to hear new ideas and answer any questions. Together we can be a powerful voice for our children and make great things happen at Veterans Park. I look forward to a fun and exciting year!
