Technology
The Ridgefield Public Schools Technology Department advances the district’s educational mission by integrating technology as a purposeful tool for teaching, learning, and operational excellence. Our work sits at the intersection of pedagogy and infrastructure: we maintain the systems that keep schools running while supporting the digital learning environments where students explore, create, and grow.
We partner with teachers and instructional leaders to ensure digital tools are not just available, but pedagogically meaningful, supporting differentiated instruction, student agency, and deeper engagement across every grade level. Equitable access is a core commitment: every student deserves reliable technology, and every staff member deserves the support and professional development to use it with confidence.
Student data privacy underpins everything we do. Before any application reaches a Ridgefield classroom, we review its privacy policy for compliance with FERPA and the Connecticut Student Data Privacy Act (CGS §§ 10-234aa through 10-234dd). Parents and community members can find information about our approved applications and data practices below.
